Introducing Miss Cocoa!

Meet Miss Cocoa.

She's a 2 year old snowshoe Siamese cat whom we found through the incredible service of Siamese Cat Rescue Center, East Coast Chapter. Miss Cocoa was rescued by SCRC from the Hillsborough Humane Society back in January 2007. A foster meowmy took her in, had her fixed, updated her shots, and gave her a safe place to live until a forever family could be found for her.

Well, we found Miss Cocoa via the SRSC website (va.siameserescue.org). And even though she was living about 5 hours away from us, the amazing SRSC volunteers took time out of their day to help transport Cocoa to her new home on the east coast of Florida.

It's been a month and Cocoa has adjust beautifully to our home and lifestyle. She loves the screened in patio. It gives her a spacy area to hunt lizards while still safe and secured. She enjoys laying on the back rest of hubby's chair, especially at night when he's in it watching TV. She loves my pink fuzzy blanket I use to keep my feet warm at night and sleeps next to me there. She well tolerates my son's persistant giggles, chasing, and fascination of her tail swooshing his face (because it tickles, he says) then disappears out of reach when she's had enough. And, of course, just loves to be petted, and petted, and petted.

Miss Cocoa is really a very well tempered kitty and I truly appreciate that. And she's a beauty too. The more we spend time together, the more we bond and become more family. It's been a fun and sweet experience so far. But you know what? I still want a dog. I'm enjoying having a cat and I'm tickled to have Miss Cocoa (or Cocoa-liscious, as I like to call her sometimes) but I still want to add little sweet dog to my family.
